The Holy Cross hockey community is coming together for a one-day giving challenge to make a difference in the student-athlete experience of current and future Crusaders!
On Friday, June 7 from 5:00 a.m. through 11:59 p.m., join us in supporting our men's and women's hockey teams. For every 20 donors to hockey, a group of alumni will donate $5,000 to the hockey program - up to 100 donors.
Fundraising is crucial to providing the best student-athlete experience during our players' four years on The Hill. Gifts made during today’s challenge will have a direct and immediate impact on each team's recruiting costs, equipment needs, travel expenses, and player development tools.
Every year, the hockey program relies on the generosity of our former hockey student-athletes, current and past parents of the program, and friends of hockey to raise over $200,000 for the needs of the men's and women's teams. As of Thursday, June 6, we have raised $140,000 from our hockey supporters. Help us reach our goal of 100 donors unlocking $25,000 of challenge money, which will help us toward our goal of raising $200,000 before the end of the fiscal year on Sunday, June 30.
During this challenge, a group of alumni have come together to support a fundraising initiative in honor of Lance "Duke" Brady '93. Lance lost his battle with cancer on February 5, 2019, and the love and support shown by the Holy Cross community was unparalleled. Our goal is to raise an additional $50,000 in memory of Lance to name a space in the Hart Center Ice Rink for Lance. Any donation made to support the named space will benefit the hockey program.

Today was a remarkable day for our hockey program! Every goal put forth was reached. Every challenge made was answered. Every donor and dollar record for a varsity teams’ one-day giving challenge was SHATTERED!
At the close of our hockey giving day challenge, 584 donors came together to support Holy Cross hockey raising $165,525. THANK YOU for being a part of a record-breaking day!
Your overwhelming support of our hockey program on Mount St. James has always been outstanding, and you did not let us down today. From our alumni, parents, players, coaches, friends, and everybody in between, you showed us why our young men and women have the opportunity of a lifetime to be a hockey student-athlete at Holy Cross. The benefit of the support raised through today’s challenge will continue to help us reach our goals on and off the ice.
A very special THANK YOU to the teammates and classmates of Lance “Duke” Brady ’93. Thanks to your generosity, we reached our goal of raising $50,000 to name a space in honor of Lance in the Hart Center Ice Rink. Today, your efforts made in his memory were incredible, and we cannot wait to dedicate a space in honor of Lance. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

With 475 donors during this Hockey Giving Challenge, we officially break the all-time record for the most donors in one day to one sport the school has ever seen.
Words cannot express how grateful we are for all of the volunteers, advocates, and each and every donor during this challenge. There is still time left to rally around these teams and see what kind of impact we can have as they continue to build elite programs!

Not only have we set an all-time record for hockey donors in a single day (surpassing the previous record of 138) but we are well on our way to setting the all-time record for donors to ANY sport at Holy Cross in a single day at 475 donors! Let’s fire it up and become the leading program in one-day giving!!!

As we surpass 250 donors with 12 hours to go, George Ross '92 and Matt Cushing '92 have come forward with a final match of $10,000 if we reach 350 donors during today's Hockey Giving Day Challenge.

That’s $73,442 from 150 donors, after unlocking that $15,000...WOOOOO!!!!
Incredible! We reached our new goal of 150 donors and have unlocked an additional $15,000 in challenge money.
What a day it has been for this program thus far. We could not be more proud of and impressed with this group of alumni, parents, and friends. With 14 hours left, let’s see how far we can stretch this thing out to benefit our young men and women!
